Under the watching trees 2
This contemplative artwork combines the luminous flow of alcohol ink with the sculptural gleam of copper leaf to evoke a quiet, elemental landscape. Two tall, stylised trees rendered in copper rise from a dark horizon — simple yet striking, like silent sentinels. Their elongated forms stretch downward, anchoring the composition with a sense of presence and watchfulness.
Beneath them, rivulets of vivid blue ink cascade downward in layered streams, evoking water, memory, or emotional undercurrents. The vertical flow contrasts with the stillness above, suggesting a world that moves beneath the surface while being silently observed from above.
The piece invites reflection on stillness, memory, and the unseen — a place where time seems to pause, under the watching trees.
