Tide Bound (Pavoni Struzzo Petrolio)

This artwork features a striking contrast between textures and colours. The top portion showcases Pavoni's dark blue leather with a dotted, almost reptilian pattern. It has a tactile, rugged look. The bottom portion is a vivid, fluid mix of turquoise and deep blue, with an expressive, watery appearance. Embedded within this section are subtle copper botanical or coral-like imprints that provide an organic, delicate balance to the otherwise intense palette and texture.
 
The transition between the two halves is marked by a rough, jagged seam, evoking a natural boundary—like land meeting sea or sky touching earth.
