Summer Wave
A3 original alcohol ink artwork on Yupo paper (with mount)
Summer Wave” is an A3-sized alcohol ink painting on Yupo paper that captures the essence of a perfect, sunlit swell — fluid, elegant, and full of coastal calm.
A sweeping wave spirals in from the right, its motion gentle yet confident, like the slow roll of the sea on a quiet summer afternoon. The form is outlined in soft, translucent blues and indigos, with hints of aqua and violet pooling along the edges, giving the wave a sense of weightlessness and rhythm. A circular crest wraps around itself like a a dancer mid-turn, holding a glowing orb at its heart — a sun, a drop of water, a soul.
The lower half of the painting is marked by horizontal flows of lavender, lilac, and cerulean, creating the illusion of rippled water or distant tide lines. These fluid bands stretch across the surface like calm ocean currents or layers of sand beneath the shallows. The soft sky above fades from azure into pale peach, whispering of heat haze and light-drenched horizons.
Despite its abstraction, the piece feels anchored in nature — a moment suspended in time, where wave and air and warmth blend into one harmonious breath.
