Song of the Swell
Song of the Swell is a meditation on the ocean’s deeper rhythm—the slow, powerful breath beneath the surface where movement gathers before it breaks. Layers of turquoise and sea-glass blues spiral inward, creating a sense of pull and release, like water drawing itself into a quiet, inevitable dance.
The surface is highly textured, with ridges you can feel, echoing the swell’s physical force. A glossy resin top coat seals the work, amplifying light and depth so the painting shifts and shimmers as you move around it, much like sunlight sliding across a moving sea.
Both energising and calming, this piece invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and listen—to the steady, wordless song of the water as it rises, turns, and rolls on.
