This painting is a vibrant and evocative alcohol ink creation inspired by the lush beauty of a Caribbean island Saint Lucia, with its iconic Piton mountains.
Soft gradients of turquoise, lilac, and jade melt together in a dreamlike palette. Two steep, triangular peaks—rendered in rich olive and golden green tones—rise dramatically from the tranquil turquoise waters below, echoing the form of Saint Lucia’s twin volcanic spires. The sea glistens with layers of translucent blue, while the horizon is bathed in a serene lavender sky, shifting gently into rose and amethyst hues. Near the base, whispers of magenta and spring green evoke the lush shoreline, adding a final flourish of tropical warmth.
The use of alcohol ink lends a sense of movement and spontaneity, with pigments blooming and flowing like island breezes and ocean currents. The result is a landscape that feels both ethereal and grounded—an invitation to escape.
