Ember Tide
62 x 43 cm
Alcohol ink on board, sealed with clear resin
Ember Tide captures the quiet intensity of a landscape suspended in heat and light. Bands of crimson and ember red drift across the surface like a horizon seen through warmth, dissolving the boundary between sky and water.
Created using alcohol ink, the pigments move freely before settling into soft, layered transitions, echoing the natural rhythm of tide and atmosphere. The addition of a clear resin finish brings depth and luminosity, intensifying the colour and creating a glass-like surface that holds the movement in place.
There is a sense of stillness within the piece — a moment where the day lingers and the heat has not yet faded. It invites the viewer to pause, to rest in that suspended space between energy and calm.
