Château Duingt, Lake Annecy

This cyanotype captures the iconic Château Duingt on the shores of Lake Annecy in the French Alps.
 
Lake Annecy is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, fed by mountain rain and melting snow, and the rich Prussian blue of the cyanotype process felt a natural way to interpret its remarkable beauty.
 
The château appears to rise from the shoreline, framed by trees and dramatic skies, creating a timeless silhouette that has watched over the lake for centuries. By reducing the landscape to blue and white, the cyanotype strips away distraction, allowing the architecture, water and surrounding landscape to become a quiet study of light, place and memory.
