This mixed media artwork incorporating Pavoni leather is inspired by the magnificent Jurassic coast. A world heritage site, it is breathtakingly beautiful. 
 
The artwork bursts with dramatic intensity, structured around a stark horizon that divides a deep crimson sky from a textured, flame-like terrain below.
 
The upper half of Pavoni leather  (Pavoni Tresor in Red) is a smooth, matte field of solid red—a bold, uninterrupted sky evoking tension, passion, or even impending change.
Below the black ridge, the surface becomes densely textured and impastoed. Layers of red, orange, and yellow rise like fire or molten earth, blending into charred blacks at the horizon line. Drips and vertical streaks echo rising heat or destruction, while the layered texture adds a physical, almost scorched quality.
 
This piece speaks of eruption, transformation, and elemental force—a stark emotional counterpoint to the gentle erosion of Last Light.
