Tango (A4)
Tango is a striking mixed-media piece that pulses with rhythm and intimacy. At its heart is a couple caught in a dramatic dance pose—he dips her low, their bodies entwined in a moment of both surrender and command. Their forms are partially obscured and distorted by expressive, painterly sweeps of thick white and grey paint, as if the motion of the dance is melting into the canvas itself.
What immediately draws the eye are the flashes of gold: the woman’s heels and bracelet, delicate yet defiant. These glimmers of gold add sensuality, a sense of occasion, even celebration—echoes of music and candlelight.
Set against a pale background, the couple seems suspended in time: not quite photograph, not quite painting—something in between memory and dream.
Poem: Tango
He catches her
just before she falls—
not from danger,
but from the heat of the step.
Their bodies write
a secret language
on the floor,
all tension,
all touch.
She wears gold
on her heels,
a glint of dare
in the shadow of grace.
They do not speak.
The music is enough.
Every twist,
every lean,
a conversation
held without words.
And in that breathless dip,
she trusts the weight
of love and rhythm—
the kind that lets you fall
just to be caught
again.
