Day Bed

Day Bed captures that rare feeling of complete stillness. Suspended between sea and sky, the empty day bed becomes an invitation to pause, breathe deeply and simply be. Beyond it, the calm waters of the Aegean stretch towards the horizon, where a rising sun and hand-applied gold leaf draw the eye into the distance.
 
Rather than documenting a single moment, this cyanotype layers memories of Kamari Beach into one dreamlike composition. By combining different photographs of the same place, the work moves beyond representation to evoke something more personal—the feeling of waking early, listening to the gentle movement of the sea and letting time slow down.
 
Created using the cyanotype process and finished with gold leaf, Day Bed is a quiet celebration of rest. It is a reminder that sometimes the greatest luxury is not where we are going, but allowing ourselves to stop long enough to appreciate where we already are.
