Afterglow

Inspired by the sunset in Imerovigli, Santorini, Afterglow captures that suspended moment when the sun has slipped below the horizon but the sky still burns. Layers of alcohol ink flow across the surface in bands of molten terracotta, crimson and burgundy, echoing the caldera cliffs as they soften into silhouette.
 
The composition stretches wide and meditative — luminous sky above, reflective sea below — with delicate horizon lines dissolving into one another like heat haze at dusk.
 
The clear resin top coat intensifies the saturation and depth, creating a glass-like sheen that mirrors the stillness of the Aegean at twilight. Light shifts across the surface as you move, just as the colours of Imerovigli change by the second before night finally arrives.
 
Afterglow is about that lingering warmth — the final breath of light that stays with you long after the sun has gone.
